Morning at Pedernal (girl walking with cup of coffee)	This is my favorite. That is Georgia O'Keefe's favorite mountain in the background. She loved it so much and painted it so frequently that she said, "...if I paint it often enough, God will give it to me." Pedernal means "flint". The Native Americans used it to make their arrows and spears. The girl in the painting is one of my new friends from New York. In the morning, the girls would walk up the incline to the dining hall, afterwards they would take their coffee with them and walk down to the studio. -Helen Merrick
