A few summers ago, I painted at the Hermitage Farm in Goshen, Kentucky. It is a world renowned horse farm, raising thoroughbreds and sport horses. They are having a Grand Gala on May 1, 2015, Oaks Day in Louisville, Ky. As I strolled the grounds looking for subject matter, this wonderful dog was lounging in the barn loft. He captured my attention and my heart. I couldn't wait to paint him. I painted the canine in watercolor on Aquaboard. When finished, I put a coat of polycrylic on top of it. Therefore, it does not require glass on top! Everyone who is a dog lover says "I just want to pet that doggie!" when they see this painting!!
