My son went to Washington state a few years ago. He went hiking in the wild and up the mountain. He saw this incredible scene with the lupine in bloom and the snowy mountains in the distance, in Vancouver, British Columbia, with the lush evergreens framing the picture. This was too beautiful not to paint! This original is watercolor. I have actually painted this again recently in acrylic. It is hanging in a gallery in the Highlands in North Carolina.
