When I went to New Mexico to Ghost Ranch, former home of Georgia O'Keefe, I was in awe of the color, shapes and atmosphere. If you truly love the earth, it is easy to see why someone would want to be there. This mountain, Pedernal, was Georgia's favorite. She said, "If I paint it often enough, God will give it to me." It seemed everywhere I went, it was always visible, from a different angle. I, too, fell in love with it. One early morning, the clouds had not yet lifted and this was the scene that I wanted to capture.
