Description
This is a plein air oil painting of the Indian Statue at the Louisville Water Tower. I participated in the "Artebella" paint out last year. I sat in the hot sun and painted all day. I painted this Indian Statue and the woman bather statue. At one point, the wind blew my easel over. Oh well, that is part of the plein air painting experience! Even though the statue was white and the sky blue, I had to add more color. I just thought it was more interesting that way. I think this would look nice in a library. The base that they are standing on reminds me of library books.
