Description
This painting was sold to Emily Beaven and her sister, Anne Marie. Their mother, Jennifer, looked online for a painting for Christmas. She sent several links to her daughters. They all chose my painting!!! They said their mother will cherish this painting. Their dad goes biking in the Parklands every day. Their mother takes walks there. I am so happy this painting is going to a happy home where artwork is appreciated!
This is a watercolor painting I did standing in Floyd's Fork Creek in the Parklands! It was a beautiful Sunday morning. My husband sat in a folding chair, drinking coffee and reading the Sunday paper in the woods, while I painted in the creek. I found a dry spot to stand on and was able to get my supplies over the water. It was a sunny day, but cool in the creek. I started my drawing in ink and then proceeded to paint in watercolor. As I was almost finished, a kayaker came along and made this the perfect scene for me!
