When I awoke the next morning, this was our view from the cabin overlooking the lake. It was so beautiful and peaceful, I couldn’t wait to start painting. I got my oil paint and canvas and set up on the back porch. I tried to capture the feeling That the scenery conveyed. It always takes longer than you think, because you’re figuring it out as you go. I painted most of it there, but when I got home , I looked at it and I had to tweak it a little bit. This is a plein air painting from the Blue Heron Winery.
