I participated in the Owensboro Art Museum's "Buffalo Paint Out" 2014,in Owensboro, Kentucky. I painted outdoors for three days. When I saw "Blossoms Apparel" with their brightly colored peachy/pink building, I knew I had to capture it on canvas. I loved painting this darling building! What an experience it was for me!! I sat across the street at the Goodyear building on a bench on the sidewalk. I listened to all the cars, trucks, delivery vehicles, ambulances, firetrucks, and motorcycles going by. Shew! It was probably the noisiest place I have ever chosen to paint en plein air. But, you know, for the love of the subject matter and painting, I would do it again! Helen M. Merrick, Artist
