Description
One summer, I painted outdoors with the Kentucky Watercolor Society. We went to the NuLu section on East Market Street in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. I chose the Mayan Cafe because of the colors and shadows. I liked the fact there was an upstairs which gave more interest to the building. I stood on the sidewalk across the street and sat up my easel. I sketched and painted. At the some point the light had changed so much that I had to finish it in my studio with photo references. This is mounted on a wood panel block.
