Description

We drove to Crestwood, Kentucky one Sunday afternoon, on a sunny summer day. I spotted this hawk on a telephone wire. Luckily, there was a road for us to turn in on and I took some pictures. He was eyeing me cautiously. There were some lines in my way and I really couldn't get a good view. He then flew away. We followed him. He landed on top of a telephone pole in full view. I got the picture I wanted! Talk about "hawkeye", there it is. I painted him in those beautiful Daniel Smith colors, which were perfect for his feathers in the rich sun.  This painting is doubled matted and framed.  The total size after framing is 30 x 24 inches.  Email me for a picture of the framing if you are interested in purchasing.
