Description
As I painted in Jeffersonville, Indiana on the Ohio River one afternoon, I was amazed and surprised when I looked up and saw these sailboats slowly gliding down the Ohio River. It was so peaceful and relaxing that I forgot I was in the Louisville Metro area for a moment. I decided to paint these in the impressionistic style. I felt that watercolor on gesso would lend itself to that feel and ambience.
